Blood Donation camps are organized every day, Mobile Blood Collection Vans go to all corners of the city to meet blood donors at their doorsteps. The IMA Blood Bank is a state of the art blood bank with world class infrastructure, using Bar codes, robotic machines and fully integrated ERP software.

Blood should be collected from non remunerated voluntary blood donors using sterile, disposable blood bags & instruments.
Donated Blood is tested and separated into components benefiting 3-4 patients
The shelf life of Blood components Red Blood Cells (PRBC), Platelet concentrate (PC) and Fresh Frozen Plasma (FFP) is 42 days, 5 days and 1 year respectively. The storage conditions these components is also different; RBC at 2 – 8° Centigrade, PC at 20 -24° Centigrade and FFP at -30 to -80° Centigrade. These components cannot be stored in normal household Refrigerators.
